With Christmas just around the corner, here at Mytton Fold we’re ready to help you celebrate throughout the festive period, as we approach the big day itself. Before we know it, the school term will be drawing to a close, and friends and family will be reconnecting to check in and catch up ahead of the 25th December.
That’s where we can help; we’ve got plenty of fabulously festive plans on offer, to help you party with friends, family and of course the kids too.
Festive feasting.
Throughout December, you can dine from our festive menu here in The Fold Restaurant, with three courses of tantalising festive favourites, including the ever popular roast turkey with all the trimmings, braised beef featherblade with creamy butter mash and madeira jus, and Baileys dark chocolate delice. There’s an array of other options to choose from, including several vegetarian and vegan options, plus we’ll be serving our winter a la carte menu alongside.
Planning a festive catch up with friends? Perhaps a pre-Christmas family meal, or a Christmas work lunch before the holidays. We’re now taking bookings for our three-course festive menu during December, with small to large table bookings available. Enjoy one course for £19.50, two courses for £24.00 or three courses for £30.00, you can browse our December festive menu, along with our other available menus at the bottom of the page.
If a cosy drink is more your style, then the lounge bar is the perfect spot for you. Sit by the roaring fire and enjoy a festive drink from our Winter Warmer’s menu. Baileys hot chocolate and mulled wine are firm favourites, but there’s always time to sample a glass of red from local supplier; the Whalley wine shop. Whilst in the comfort of the cosy surroundings, order a bite to eat from our festive inspired bar snacks – a bowl of pig in blankets with cranberry dipping sauce? Yes please.
Afternoon Sweet Treats
In preparation for December celebrations, our in-house pastry chef has created a deliciously unique festive Afternoon Tea menu, available to enjoy from 1st – 24th December. The menu includes all the staple afternoon tea picks, featuring an added festive twist!
Alongside a selection of festive sandwiches, you can feast on spiced cherry scone, Santa white chocolate macaron, Rudolph salted caramel choux bun and much more. The perfect afternoon treat to celebrate the festive season. Feeling hungry? Our festive afternoon tea is available Monday to Saturday, from 2-5pm.
Santa’s coming to town!
We’re also super excited to announce that this year, we’ve even managed to arrange a visit from Santa himself. He’ll be joining us for a spot of breakfast and a cuppa, on Sunday 17th December from 10:30am onwards.
Children and adult tickets are now available to book with our reception team ahead of the event, with children’s tickets £17.95 including your child’s choice of magical breakfast from our festive inspired menu with breakfast juice, access to our ‘decorate your festive gingerbread’ station (one per child), along with meet and greet with Santa himself – and a small gift.
Our adult’s tickets for this event are £12.95 and include breakfast of your choice from our festive inspired menu, plus choice of tea/coffee.
Limited spaces are available, so make sure you book your tickets with us to avoid disappoint.

And of course – the pièce de la resistance, Christmas day at Mytton Fold. Our team are on hand to offer a stress-free day, with no cooking required! Join us for arrival drinks and canapés, before you’re seated to enjoy three-course Christmas dinner with all the trimmings, cooked by our Chef and team. Whilst the drinks are still flowing, it’s time for tea, coffee and sweet treats.
