Third time unlucky - S'no Joke

 

Even Mytton Fold Golf Club’s plucky ground staff admitted defeat when the club had to call off its third attempt to hold its 3 Club competition this weekend. Due to be held between Christmas and New Year, the event was postponed twice, and last Saturday was the final opportunity to run this popular fun event. 

Entrants would have been limited to a maximum of three clubs, one of which had to be a putter; however the weather conditions dictated that a shovel, brush and snowblower would be the most effective implements. Buggies would have replaced by huskies and sleds, and normal golfing footwear.

With continuing bad weather being forecast, Mytton Fold’s next event is, conveniently, an indoor one, when it holds its pre-season get-together and quiz night on Friday 19th February.
